Basic Grooming
*Basic grooming consists of brushing and combing, a bath, drying, nail trim, ear cleaning, gland expression and doggy cologne (unless you or your dog is allergic in which case you need to specify that).
**Sorry we don't do hair cuts or fancy clips at this time. We do shave downs only for matted dogs.
***If your dog has a double coat and is not matted we will not shave any dog with a double coat for their wellbeing (shaving down dogs with double coats such as huskies or pomeranians for example, can harm them more than help them. It does not help them whatsoever contrary to belief and we will refuse to do so.
Toy Breeds (0-6 lbs.) = $18.00
Small Breeds (7-16 lbs.) = $20.00
Medium Breeds (17-34 lbs.) = $28.00
Large Breeds (35-80 lbs.) = $32.00
Giant Breeds (81+ lbs.) = $35.00
Priced for Basic Grooming only!
SHAVE DOWN (any size dog) = $40.00, yes $40.00 Hopefully that encourages regular grooming to avoid shave downs. It is also priced that way because of the caution and time it takes for shave downs. Matts tend to be very closed to the skin and rushing could result in cutting the skin and bleeding which no one wants. We do NOT rush when we groom and we do what is best for the dog only.
If you bring us a matted dog we are obligated to do a shave down ASAP. Matts on dogs can be dangerous and if left on too long they can actually cut circulation off and result in amputation. If the owner refuses to get the dog shaved down when the matts are that bad we will be obligated to report the dog to Animal Control and file a neglegence/animal cruelty report against the owner of the dog. We take this type of neglect seriously. It is 100% terrible and unacceptable for any dog who has matts to be forced to live that way and yes, it is considered neglegence and cruelty if you don't get your dog groomed regularly especially long-haired breeds. If you are not an experienced groomer, never try to cut matts yourself. matts can be extremely close to the skin of the animal and cutting can result in cutting the skin and causing severe injury to your pet. Always take your dog to a groomer if you are not sure.
